I know you will want to join us for a unique and creative program on February 8th, featuring guest chef Tony Lawrence. Tony studied cooking in Germany and developed a love for the wines while developing a palate for pairing them with all types of food. Tony's career has led to executive chef positions at The Philadelphia Club and Indian Valley Country Club, in addition to private catering and consulting on food and wine pairing, assisting restaurants and wineries throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Virginia in conducting food and wine events. Tony also writes about food
and wine for trade publications, leads seminars on matching food and wine, and has experience judging wine competitions up and down the East coast US, from VA, MD, PA, OH, NY, NJ and RI, from which experience he selects only the most outstanding wines for his cellar. Tony maintains an open mind in both the kitchen and the wine cellar, and brings a unique approach to pairing food and wines.
For this event, Tony will conduct a tasting of United States East Coast varietal grapes and other "unique creations" that he has culled as the best wines available from the hundreds he has sampled and judged, pairing them with his food creations. This will be a very special evening of unique "tapas" dishes, created by Tony and served with his selected wines.
Tony says:
”I will present six courses (Tony's Tapas Style) and blindly pour two wines per course; you guess the varietal!!”
Please bring at least two wine glasses.
Cancel-by date is one-week before the event (Feb 1, 5pm).
