Ristorante Panorama is a fabulous place on its own with contemporary Italian cuisine and a world-class wine bar with 120 wines offered by the glass. Since our classes will not include a meal, this is the perfect excuse to have dinner with some Cencibel friends either before or after class at Panorama.
Session 1 - How to Taste Wine Like a Pro (6 wines plus 6 non-wines)
This class defines the objective criteria and language experts use in evaluating wine. These are first illustrated in a non-wine tasting, then reinforced with wine. Learn how to identify the six primary wine characteristics and how to describe them. Cost - $35 for members/$40 non-members, payable that evening (cash or check to Cencibel).
Session 2 - WEDNESDAY November 19, 2003 – A Blind Tasting
We have asked Marnie to facilitate this off-schedule gathering for us so expect some fun. Based on the basic varietals, this session will focus on distinguishing, identifiying and describing varietal characteristics. Location: Ristorante Panorama; Time: 7:00 to 9:00 PM; Cost: $25 Members/ $30 non-Members payable that evening (cash or check to Cencibel).

Session 3 – The Major Grapes
May 10, 2003 (MONDAY) at Ristorante Panorama
There are thousands of grape varieties in the world, but almost all quality wines are made from a very short list. Learn what to expect from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir - the basis for the world’s classic wines. This "warm up" is intended to educate AND prepare us for our next month’s event...
Session 4 – Blind Tasting II
June 8, 2004
Let’s try this again! And once again we’ve asked Marnie to facilitate this educational experience. Because our meetings are monthly in 2004, this one is on the calendar, timed to follow Marnie’s class on The Major Grapes. $25 members/$30 non-members (check to Treasurer) or via PayPal $27/$32. Location: Ristorante Panorama.
